Wild world

Wild world

I have a wild belief that words can challenge and transform the world. They can open our eyes to things we were either never exposed to or could not look at for some reason previously. If we are willing; they have the power to strengthen us; draw us closer to one another; know one another better; and humble us.

But equally, words can entertain us, teach us about weird facts that we’ll never use again (unless perhaps in a pub quiz ten years from now). They can get us fired up. They can remind us of the good. They can nudge us about the bad and ugly – because opening our eyes to these things now and again helps us understand one another better.

In my non-fiction section I explore all weird and wonderful areas. I like to explore the taboo. I like to know what happens in people’s lives and how we work with one another. I like science (on the easy reading level), our world is fascinating. I like to write about sex. I also, because it has a deep personal pull, like to write around violence; it is not easy, but if we don’t talk about it causes harm on multiple levels.

Read what you like, obviously, skip past the ones that spark no interest, or that for now are just too hard to read. I’ve been there.

I look forward to exploring with you. If you ever have suggestions of topics, places etc. that you would like me to delve into, let me know.

All the best
